The Orpheus String Quartet offers three packages to ensure you can get the best quality and value from one of Britain's finest string quartets.

We can perform as a Trio or as a Quartet for your Wedding from anything from 1 hour upwards. Our rates are fully-inclusive; there are no hidden charges or extra travel costs. A low deposit of £99 is required to secure a booking.

The Ceremony

The format that has proved most popular is as follows:

1. The Quartet performs background music of your choice (see repertoire list) for around 20 minutes before the ceremony is due to begin.
2. Up to four pieces are usually performed at the ceremony - during the bridal entrance, the signing of the register (x2), and the exit of the bride & groom. However, you may want more or fewer items performed during the ceremony, which we are happy to do upon your request.
3. Directly after the wedding ceremony, there is the option of the Quartet playing further music if your guests are going to be mingling; this is more common for hotel venue ceremonies than church ceremonies.

The Drinks Reception

The drinks reception has a simpler format:

1. Performing throughout the drinks reception, the quartet can provide a range of musical styles to cater for your needs (see repertoire list). Here we would entertain you and your guests as the celebrations begin and photographs are being taken. We would perform a selection of classical, jazzy and more popular music, including any requests you may have, to create the perfect atmosphere as you and your guests relax and enjoy the afternoon. We aren't insistent upon playing in set formats; if you would prefer another structure we're happy to accommodate.

The Wedding Breakfast

As does the wedding breakfast:

1. Whilst your meal is being served, we will provide relaxing and sophisticated music to accompany the wedding breakfast.
2. Performing throughout your meal, from drinks to dessert, the quartet can provide a range of musical styles to cater for your needs (see repertoire list). Whilst your meal is being served, we will provide relaxing and sophisticated music to accompany the mood. Again, if you would prefer another format we're happy to accommodate.
